Dogs Trust Canine Care Card

Dogs Trust
The Canine Care Card scheme is a special free service that will guarantee you peace of mind, knowing that your dog’s future can be a safe and happy one after your lifetime.

Who'll look after me when you're gone? Do you ever wonder what would happen to your dog if you were to suddenly die? You aren't alone. Many dog owners want to know that their four-legged friend will continue to be cared for after their own death.

Responsible dog owners know that they need to make sure their canine friend will be looked after, especially if they cannot rely on friends or family members to take on this huge responsibility.
Dogs Trust Canine Care Card

The Dogs Trust Canine Care Card scheme is a special FREE service that gives you peace of mind, knowing that Dogs Trust will look after your dog in the event of your death.

At their 17 rehoming centres nationwide, Dogs Trust have teams of dedicated staff who work around the clock to give special love and attention to all the four-legged friends in their care.

Dogs Trust never put a healthy dog down, and they work hard to match every dog with a responsible, loving new home, no matter how long this may take. They believe that a dog really is for life. So you can be sure that your dog will be safe and happy with Dogs Trust.

To find out more about the Canine Care Card scheme and to ensure that Dogs Trust are notified when your dog needs to be taken into their care, you can download the leaflets entitled Canine Care Card and Canine Care Card Registration Form from their website. Once registered you'll never have to worry about the future of your four-legged friend again.

Dogs Trust also strongly recommend that you mention the care of your dog in your will. That way, there can be no confusion about your wishes. If this is something you wish to do, we suggest that you include the following phrase in your will:

"It is also my wish that Dogs Trust care for or rehome any dogs that I may own at the time of my death".

If you would prefer to talk to someone in confidence about Dogs Trust caring for your dog after your lifetime, please contact:
