Promoting
Responsible Pet Care (RPC) is a key component of PDSA's mission.
By educating owners about their pets needs they aim to improve the
health and wellbeing of pets nationwide.
PDSA point out that pet ownership is not a decision that should
be taken lightly. “Owning a pet means taking on the responsibility
to care for the pet throughout its life.”
PDSA
produce a range of RPC leaflets, designed to highlight important
pet care topics to owners. Each month they deliver a new pet
care message through an informative leaflet. These leaflets
are free and available from all PDSA PetAid hospitals and
shops as well as available to download online in PDF format
from www.pdsa.org.uk/responsiblepetcare.html
The leaflets include everything from general care and practical
advice to advice on what to do in an emergency. The topics
covered include vaccination, dental care and first aid.
