Canine Partners Bluebell Walks
Canine Partners
Training assistance dogs to transform the lives
of people with disabilities

www.caninepartners.co.uk

Canine Partners is a registered charity (no. 803680) which receives no government funding and is wholly dependent upon public donations and legacies. The purpose of Canine Partners is to assist people with disabilities to enjoy a greater independence and a better quality of life and, where possible, to help them into education and employment, through the provision of specially trained dogs, whose well-being is a key consideration.

Bluebell Walk is a campaign that was launched in 2005 to raise money for the charity. The walks are a great way of getting supporters together with their family, friends and work colleagues, to have fun, get fit, and you don't even need to have a dog to take part!

Pat Phipps and Dolly Bluebell Walk 2011
Canine Partners are delighted to announce the 2011 Bluebell Walks campaign. The idea is for sponsored walks to take place during April to June when the bluebells are expected to bloom.

The walks give supporters the opportunity to get together with family, friends and other dog lovers, taking part in something fun and worthwhile.

"Help us make the 2011 Bluebell Walks campaign the biggest and best yet. Since starting these Bluebell Walks you have raised nearly £100,000 in support of our work. Our aim is to raise funds and encourage families, friends and colleagues to take part in something fun, healthy and worthwhile. You are more than welcome to bring your dog!"

"Every penny raised from the registrations fees and sponsorship will help us to train more dogs and meet the demand of people on our waiting list."

A Bluebell Walk can be for 5-500 people, covering distances from 1 mile to 10 miles or longer if you wish and participants don't even have to own a dog. Anyone interested in organising a walk in their local area should get in touch with Canine Partners for more information.

Canine Partners will of course help you to organise your walk. All walk organisers will be sent a free information pack containing details on how to make the walk a great success, as well as sponsorship forms, pens and stickers. Canine Partners are also happy to help publicise local walks to ensure the highest level of participation.

If you want to take part but don't have bluebells growing near you, don't worry, you can still hold a walk in your local woods or park.

For more information on the Bluebell Walks Campaign please visit the Canine Partners Bluebell Walks page.
