| The
Countryside Code |
New public rights of access began from 19th
September in the South East and lower North West of England with
other areas to be opened up region by region throughout 2005.
|
| With increased rights to access of the countryside
come added responsibilities. The Countryside code has been updated
for the first time in two decades. It includes some important information
and advice for dog walkers. |
| All dog walkers must stay in close control of their
dogs. In areas of open country or common land, this control includes
not allowing your dog to: |
- Disturb, injure or worry other animals or wildlife
- Be off lead near farm animals & between
1st March-31st July
- Foul areas – always clean up after your
dog
