Jill’s tireless work has
been rewarded with much media attention and the cause now has
Claire Rayner as their Honorary Patron. Claire Rayner says “We
as a society need to be concerned with animals contracting MRSA.
It is a very worrying situation. More research needs to be done
for the future."
Jill’s website www.pets-mrsa.com
contains a wealth of information about the issue of MRSA in pets
and how to protect your pets from the superbug. It charts Jill’s
progress during her ‘campaign for change’ and provides
the latest research and information about MRSA in companion animals.
Visitors to the site can also contact Jill directly.
Can you help?
As part of a major new media campaign, Jill has asked D for Dog
to help find out about other cases or suspected cases of pets
with MRSA in the UK. So if you know anyone whose pet has become
ill following surgery or had a serious infection, or if you suspect
your own pet may have been infected with the MRSA virus, please
send us your details and become part of this important campaign.
Your details will be passed on to Jill on your behalf, or alternatively
you can contact Jill Moss at jill@pets-mrsa.com |
