| The Wag & Bone
show is the most fun day out you can have with your dog. So make
sure you have reserved your tickets because this year promises
to be bigger and better than ever before. Plus, by booking your
tickets in advance, you get to save on the price of your ticket.
It is not difficult to see why the Wag & Bone
Show is such a popular event. There is Games Zone (the doggie
equivalent of Alton Towers), Top Dog (a huge fun dog show for
real dogs), Pup Idol (talented pets compete), doggie dancing,
look-alike competition and interactive Teach Me rings. There will
also be another world record attempt to take part in, loads of
demos, and a new area called Rescue Village. And on top of all
that, you have some fantastic doggie shopping to do - all in the
name of charity.
Competitions
Enjoy your day out even more by getting involved and entering
lots of things. Apart from the Wag & Bone Awards, other competitions
include Pup Idols for dogs with special talents and a Look-alikes
competition for owners who look like their dogs.
As well as purchasing your tickets in advance, you can enter many
of the competitions in advance too - perfect for beating those
queues and avoiding any disappointment on the day. For more information
on the different competitions and how to enter, visit our Wag
and Bone Show Awards
and Competitions page.
Rescue Village
New this year – Rescue Village. Welfare organisations will
be working together to help anyone who is interested in adopting
a rescue dog. From pre-adoption interviews to information about
the dog most suitable for you, as a potential rescue dog owner
you will get all the information you could possibly need. Also
planned is a ‘rescue wall’ which will feature photos
and examples of successful rehoming stories. So, as you can see,
Rescue Village plans to be both informative and inspirational.
Plus, the Wag & Bone Awards this year will include a number
of categories that aim to highlight rescue dogs and the people
who rehome them.
Other
Finally, don’t forget the many other things going on such
as Good Citizen – why not start practicing for your Bronze
Good Citizen certificate. Testing will be taking place at the
show for anyone who wants to join in.

Camping
Yes, that's right - this year you can camp. Why not make your
visit to the Wag & Bone Show into a 2 day break. You can arrive
the night before, set up camp and relax with your dog before the
big day. The camping fee covers the next night as well so you
don’t have to do that long journey home after your fun-packed
day. Camping is only £25 for the Friday and Saturday night
but book now as this is proving very popular.

And don’t forget that while you are having fun you will
be helping other less fortunate dogs. Seven of the best-known
animal welfare charities provide the manpower for this event and
share the profits. |
