Canine Arthritis Awareness Month
Canine Arthritis Awareness Month
Canine Arthritis Awareness Month September 2006

Get Britain’s dogs back on their feet.

Owners can have their pets checked
for free.

Arthritis can affect any breed of dog at any age and it is incredibly easy to put the symptoms down to something else such as old age, laziness or even growing pains. Even dogs as young as 6 months can suffer from arthritis.

If your dog has arthritis then they will need help to regain mobility.

This September during Canine Awareness Month, participating vets will be offering a free arthritis check for dogs. Make sure your dog isn't suffering from arthritis by getting him checked. Vets all over the country will be supporting the campaign, so it should be easy to find a participating vet near to you.

The vet will assess your dog to see if there are any signs of arthritis. If the vet does detect arthritis they will give you advice on caring for your pet and if appropriate, may prescribe medication to reduce any pain and inflammation.
