Open For Dogs Campaign

Have you ever tried to take your dog for a walk to pick up some essentials from the shops, only to be faced by the problem of not being allowed to take your dog in?

Restrictions for dog owners on where they can take their dog seem to be an ever increasing daily dilemma, which is why the Kennel Club have launched its ‘Open for dogs’ sticker campaign, to encourage more businesses to accept dogs. An attractively designed sticker has been created for all places that are open to dogs.

Open for Dogs Kennel Club Campaign
Help the UK to be more ‘Open for Dogs’

Places which allow dogs and display the ‘Open for dogs’ campaign sticker will benefit because they will be encouraging more visitors and their dogs. They will also be listed on the Kennel Club website on their Open for dogs page, which provides a centralised and useful service for all those who want to go about their daily lives with their dogs alongside.

The Kennel Club wants to make life easier for millions of dog owners, who would benefit if more places allowed dogs - and so would the businesses!

From cafes, restaurants, libraries and shops to taxis, road recovery companies, offices and more. These are places we all go to, and need to go to, and why should dogs not be allowed to accompany us, as well behaved dog citizens?

Contrary to popular belief, it is by no means illegal to take dogs into restaurants, pubs and other establishments.

The campaign stickers are free and available from the Kennel Club press office. To request an ‘Open for dogs’ sticker and to support the ‘Open for Dogs’ campaign, get in touch with the KC press office.

Email your request to press.office@thekennelclub.org.uk

And if you have visited somewhere who welcomed your dog, then let the Kennel Club know and they will send a sticker directly to them. Help the UK to be more ‘Open for Dogs’ with the Kennel Club.
