This is another 'working' dog food which I have tried Vegas on and have found its great!!! Vegas is very active and keeping weight on him can often be a struggle. Omega Tasty made by Purina is excellent and actually looks like childrens breakfast cereal hoops! Vegas is still is fab shape after being fed on this for 2 months and he really does enjoy his meal times! Quite cheap at £11.99 for 15kgs, but its VAT free cause its working dog food so is a real bargain.

I would not recommend this or any dry pet food since it is all stacked with grain although cats and dogs have no nutritional need for grain but grain according to Dr. Lisa Pierson, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine says is causing chronic dehydration in cats and dogs and is causing life-threatening urinary blockage in male cats, fatty liver disease, kidney failure, diabetes, cystitis etc. and the poor quality of the food is causing cancer in animals.

The veterinary schools have done no independent research into whether pet food is causing serious illness in cats and dogs and an Early Day Motion tabled in the House of Commons on 1.7.2004 by David Taylor MP criticised Vets for condoning and recommending and selling pet food from which they make a considerable profit when they should be recommending that cats and dogs be fed the raw meat and raw bone which is their species appropriate food and which is the food that they lived on for thousands of years prior to the advent of the pet food industry.

Junk food is causing serious health problems in humans such as heart disease, diabetes and cancer and pet food is equally causing these problems in cats and dogs no matter what research the pet food companies can produce since we need independent research which is free from pet food company finance and influence since only that can be believed.
